About Us
Versa Bricks has been an idea Jerry has had for many years. In his youth he enjoyed cars and building toys. He thought at a very early age that there should be a way to combine the two. Then as our three boys grew up playing with cars, LEGO® and K'NEX®, again we thought of ways to combine all three. This usually resulted in the use of a lot of tape, with below par results.
Versa Bricks will now allow children to integrate their current toys to create fantastic new inventions of their very own. Resourcefulness is rewarded by thinking of old toys in new and exciting ways. I have been in numerous classrooms over the last decade and during that time have seen how hands on building reinforces math and spatial concepts. Creative building is emphasized in all STEM based curriculums, since it allows open ended thought processes. Kids are creating a world they can master, rather than mastering a video world others have created.
Versa Bricks is the result of a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2014. Since that time Jerry and I have been learning the ropes as small business co-owners. We have been married for 25 years and have three boys so we have experience working together in creative ways.
